Introduction

In early 2018, nine graduates from Yanshan University (formerly Northeast Heavy Machinery Institute) initiated to establish the board of YANSHAN UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION of USA. The purpose of this association is to strengthen understanding and close ties between the alumni and their alma, to exchange information and to promote collaboration among alumni in USA. The board passed its first charter on Feb. 12, 2018.

YANSHAN UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION of USA is a non-political, non-profit, independent community organization registered in California. On August 22, 2018, the association was approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. 

YANSHAN UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION of USA is composed of graduates, former faculty and staff from Yanshan University. There are more than a thousand of members all over the States.

On September 1, 2019, the board organized its first national alumni conference in the San Francisco Bay area.
